Hello, I am Fredrich Froebel. I was born in Oberweißbach, Germany in 1782. I am known for being the creator of kindergarten. I believe that every child at the age of 5 or 6 has the ability the improvise upon their language and arithmetic skills. I opened my very own school, which was the very first kindergarten in the world. Although kindergarten is highly respected as an important part of a child's cognitive development in the 21st century, people were not always so trusting of it. One year before I passed away, kindergartens were banned in Germany. Although I never got to see the expansion of my theory of child potential, I contributed greatly to the entire world of education. In closing, I will leave you with one of my most favorite quotes. "Children are like tiny flowers: They are varied and need care, but each is beautiful alone and glorious when seen in the community of peers." - Friedrich Froebel
